The so-called pre-treatment refers to the use of mechanical, chemical, electrochemical and other process methods to eliminate surface defects of iron art products before painting (plating).

Manual processing mainly uses tools such as emery cloth, scrapers, hammer chisels, wire brushes, and waste grinding wheels. Surface contaminants such as rust, scale, welding slag, and dust are removed by manual grinding, shoveling, and sweeping.
The most commonly used tools for mechanical treatment include pneumatic (electric) brushes, rust removal guns, polishing wheels and pneumatic (electric) shovels. They use the high-frequency impact and friction of mechanical force to remove rust and remove oxide scale, old paint and other dirt. .
Spray treatment uses mechanical centrifugation, compressed air, high-pressure water flow, etc. as power to project abrasives, sand, and steel shots onto the surface of iron products, impacting and rubbing away oxide scale, rust marks, old paint, molding sand, etc.
Chemical treatment uses a specially formulated acid solution to soak and dissolve iron products, and remove scale, rust marks, and oil stains through chemical reactions, which is the so-called “pickling”.
2. For iron products, organic solution, alkali solution, electrochemistry and other methods can generally be used to remove oil. Various metal cleaning agents currently on the market are also suitable.
